Departments and Admission Capacity

- Department of Political Science: 200 students (a limited number of international students)

- Department of Economics: 200 students (a limited number of international students)

Examination Venue

- Shonan Campus (4-1-1 Kitakaname, Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture)

Application Eligibility

1. Those who have completed 12 years of school education in a foreign country (including expected completion)

2. Those who have passed a qualification examination equivalent to completion of 12 years of education in a foreign country

3. Those who have received education in Japanese educational institutions for a total of no more than 3 years and have graduated from a high school in Japan

4. Those who have been recognized by the university through individual screening as having academic ability equal to or higher than the above

Required Documents

1. Statement of Purpose (within 600 characters)

2. Resume

3. High school graduation (expected) certificate

4. High school academic transcript

5. Copy of EJU score report

6. Japanese language school transcript (including attendance rate)

7. Copy of passport

8. Copy of residence card (both sides, for residents in Japan only)

9. Financial support documents (for overseas residents only)

10. Three letters of recommendation (for Method B only)

Application Fee

- 35,000 yen

- Japanese Language

- Japan and the World

- All subjects specified by the School of Political Science and Economics must be taken

Enrollment Procedures

- First Period: Mid to Late October

- Second Period: Mid to Late February

- Tuition and fees can be paid in full or in two installments

Tuition and Fees (School of Political Science and Economics)

- Admission Fee: 200,000 yen

- Annual Tuition: 1,227,000 yen

- Total (First Year): Approximately 1,486,200 yen
