Research Focus: Can Peace and Stability Be Sustained?
For over 70 years since World War II, Japan has enjoyed peace, stability, and economic growth. Yet this period might be historically exceptional - in the 70 years before WWII, Japan was involved in multiple conflicts. My research explores the fundamental question: what conditions and systems are necessary to sustain peace and stability in our world?
