Research Focus: Economics for Human Life and Sustainable Society
Japan is widely known to be facing the major challenge of population aging and declining birthrates, but neighboring Asian countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand are confronting similar issues. What is necessary for people to live healthy lives and for society to remain sustainable? I approach this question from the perspectives of both health economics and development economics.
